Planting a tree is one way to make change. It is positive for the environment, but also is a physical and tactile experience. You do it outside, smelling the tree, the soil and the air. There are soil microbes that are known to reduce anxiety and depression.

Plus, you usually do this with friends and every time you see the tree, you are reminded of the experience.
