We are fans of Marin California's Center for Attitudinal Healing. Changing your perspective on the world is the single most important thing that any of us can do.

Additionally, at SymSoil, we believe that gardening can reduce stress and encourage healthier eating. The UK organization, Growing Health put out a factsheet on Gardening and food growing to reduce stress and stress related illness

The complete soil microbe biome has microbes that can break down chemicals, including glyphosate (including Achromobacter, Flavisolibacter, Geobacillus, Pseudosprillum, Rhodobium and Streptomyces bacteria families, as well as a fungi, Penicillum chrysogenum). Katharine Hinson believes that somewhere a bacteria lives that will breakdown anything with a carbon chain.

A decade ago, researcher began focusing on soil microbes that had antidepressant effects. In a 2007 article in Medical News Today, Dr. Chris Lowry, from Bristol University, said, “These studies help us understand how the body communicates with the brain and … leave us wondering if we shouldn’t all be spending more time playing in the dirt.”

There are researchers at UCLA's medical school who have come to believe that it is the soil microbes on organic food, rather than the organic food itself, which may help the body fight cancer. This was discussed at length in an article by The Atlantic Healthy Soil Microbes, Healthy People.

Thank you for having read this far. My intention was a quick note on the great article by Dr. Rediger on spontaneous remissions.

To a hammer, everything looks like a nail. At SymSoil, we are passionate about soil health and its impact on the wider community. If you are a gardener, or passionate about food for flavor or health, please follow us!
